Girardin traces its roots back to 1935, when company founder Lionel Girardin opened a used-car dealership and repair shop in St-Félix-de-Kingsey, Quebec. In 1965, Girardin opened a bus dealership in Drummondville, Quebec; along with bus sales, Girardin converted vans into minibuses (some of the first Type A school buses). Today, in addition to being a category leader within the school bus division, Girardin has become known for its innovations and industry firsts.
With over 30,000 units built to date, Girardin buses are on the road literally all over the world, transporting people in sixty countries throughout North America, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. They set the standard for school transportation with their full line of school vehicles assembled with a selection of components specifically designed to maximize passenger protection, vehicle reliability and efficiency.
While Girardin specializes in Type A and Type B school and commercial buses with capacities ranging from 9 to 30 passengers, the company’s ultimate mission is to provide the safest and most reliable method of transportation available for students. In conjunction with this principle, they also take a long list of environmentally conscious steps in their manufacturing processes – including procuring parts made from recycled materials such as aluminum, copper and steel – believing that environmental stewardship goes hand in hand with building the vehicles the next generation rides in.
The bottom line: Girardin Minibus is committed to offering you the highest level of quality in its products, customer service and sales support.
